Cyber Security Analyst

Job Description

TechNova Solutions is hiring a Cyber Security Analyst for our London security operations team defending our SaaS platform and enterprise clients. You will triage security alerts, investigate incidents, tune detection rules and hunt for threats across cloud and endpoint telemetry — working in a modern SOC with best-in-class tooling. Our London SOC defends a multi-cloud estate spanning three continents, giving you exposure to diverse attack surfaces and some of the industry's best detection tooling.

We fund certifications (Security+, CySA+, GCIH), run regular purple-team exercises, and promote from within: most of our senior analysts started in this role. Our London SOC offers hybrid working and a genuinely supportive shift culture. You will also join our threat-hunting guild's weekly hunts, earn funded GIAC certifications, and rotate through digital forensics to broaden your incident-response skills.

Responsibilities

Triage and investigate security alerts from SIEM and EDR platforms
Perform initial incident response: containment, eradication, recovery
Tune detection rules to reduce false positives
Conduct proactive threat hunting across logs and telemetry
Document incidents and produce post-incident reports
Participate in purple-team exercises and tabletop simulations

Requirements

3-5 years in SOC, security analysis or related IT security role
Hands-on SIEM experience (Splunk, Sentinel or QRadar)
Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, networking and common attack vectors
Incident response process knowledge
Security+ or CySA+ certification preferred
Ability to work shifts including occasional nights
