Cloud Security Engineer

Job Description

TechNova Solutions is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer for our Sydney team to secure our multi-cloud SaaS platform. You will implement CSPM, harden Kubernetes clusters, build detective controls with SIEM integrations, and partner with platform engineers to make the secure path the easy path. Our Sydney team secures SaaS infrastructure serving customers in forty countries, with a cloud estate growing forty percent year over year.

You will have real ownership of our cloud security posture across AWS and Azure. You will also lead our shift to passwordless authentication, build automated remediation playbooks, and receive funded CCSP and AWS Security Specialty certifications.

Responsibilities

Implement and manage cloud security posture (CSPM) tooling
Harden Kubernetes clusters: RBAC, pod security, network policies
Build detective controls and SIEM integrations for cloud telemetry
Automate compliance checks with policy-as-code (OPA, Sentinel)
Conduct cloud architecture security reviews
Respond to cloud security incidents and misconfigurations

Requirements

4-7 years in cloud or security engineering roles
Deep AWS and/or Azure security expertise
Kubernetes security hardening experience
Policy-as-code (OPA/Rego) and Terraform knowledge
Familiarity with CSPM tools (Wiz, Prisma Cloud)
Security certifications (AWS Security Specialty, CCSP) valued
