Job Description
FinEdge Capital is looking for a Systems Analyst to bridge our trading technology teams and business stakeholders in New York. You will analyse complex workflows across order management and risk systems, translate business needs into precise technical specifications, and partner with developers to deliver enhancements to our low-latency trading platform. You will focus initially on our post-trade settlement systems, a complex domain where precise analysis directly reduces operational risk and saves the business significant sums daily.
This role sits at the heart of our fintech operation, offering exposure to electronic trading, market data and regulatory reporting. You will work in a fast-paced but supportive environment where strong analysts are trusted with genuine ownership and fast-tracked towards product or programme leadership. You will also lead requirements workshops with front-office stakeholders, contribute to our business-analysis centre of excellence, and receive funded training towards CBAP certification.
Responsibilities
Gather and document business and functional requirements from trading desks
Translate requirements into technical specifications and user stories
Analyse existing systems to identify optimisation opportunities
Support UAT planning, test-case design and defect triage
Produce process flows, data mappings and system documentation
Liaise between business stakeholders, developers and QA teams
Requirements
3-5 years as a systems or business analyst in financial services
Understanding of trading lifecycle, order management or market data
Strong SQL skills for data analysis and investigation
Experience with Agile delivery and tools like Jira and Confluence
Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills
Knowledge of FIX protocol or regulatory reporting is a plus
