Job Description

FinEdge Capital is engaging an IT Consultant on a 12-month contract to guide our core banking platform modernisation programme in Dubai. You will advise senior technology leadership on architecture decisions, vendor selection and integration strategy as we migrate legacy systems to a cloud-native stack serving clients across the GCC. The programme covers payments modernisation, real-time fraud detection and open-banking APIs, placing you at the centre of the bank's most strategically important technology investment.

This is a senior advisory role for a consultant who has led similar transformations in banking or financial services. You will run architecture reviews, produce board-level recommendations, and mentor internal engineering teams β€” with an attractive tax-free package, housing support and annual flights home. You will also facilitate architecture workshops with regional technology heads, produce the annual technology strategy review for the board, and enjoy access to our global consulting knowledge network.

Responsibilities

Advise on target architecture for core banking modernisation programme
Evaluate vendors and lead proof-of-concept assessments
Produce architecture decision records and board-level recommendations
Review integration designs across payments, KYC and reporting systems
Mentor internal engineers on cloud-native patterns and practices
Report programme risks and mitigation plans to technology leadership

Requirements

5-8 years of IT consulting or enterprise architecture experience
Deep knowledge of banking systems, payments and regulatory requirements
Experience leading cloud migration or core modernisation programmes
Strong stakeholder influence skills at executive level
Familiarity with TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks
Previous GCC or Middle East consulting experience preferred
