Job Description

FinEdge Capital is looking for a Data Analyst to join our London analytics team turning trading, risk and customer data into decisions. You will build dashboards in Power BI, write complex SQL against our data warehouse, and partner with product and risk teams to answer questions that move millions of pounds. Our London team sits within the trading division, where your analyses of market and client data directly inform decisions worth millions of pounds each quarter.

We invest in our analysts: funded training in dbt, cloud data platforms and advanced analytics, plus a clear route to senior analyst or analytics manager. Our London office offers hybrid working in the heart of the financial district. You will also learn dbt and advanced Snowflake modelling, present at our monthly analytics showcase, and receive funded training towards the Microsoft Data Analyst Associate certification.

Responsibilities

Write complex SQL queries against Snowflake data warehouse
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
Perform ad-hoc analyses for trading, risk and product teams
Define KPIs and ensure consistent metric definitions
Identify data quality issues and work with engineers to fix them
Present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

2-4 years of data analysis experience, ideally in finance
Advanced SQL skills and data-modelling understanding
Hands-on Power BI or Tableau dashboard experience
Strong Excel skills and statistical fundamentals
Familiarity with Python for analysis is an advantage
Clear communication and stakeholder management skills
