Job Description

TechNova Solutions is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to take ownership of our corporate network infrastructure across our Berlin headquarters and European branch offices. You will design, implement and maintain LAN, WAN and wireless networks that keep more than 800 employees connected, while driving our migration towards software-defined networking and zero-trust security principles. Our Berlin campus connects to branch offices in Munich, Amsterdam and Warsaw, giving you responsibility for a genuinely international network estate with diverse technologies and vendors.

Working within a collaborative infrastructure team, you will have real autonomy over network architecture decisions and a generous budget for modernisation projects. This role suits a hands-on engineer who enjoys both strategic design work and the satisfaction of keeping critical systems running at 99.9% availability. You will also lead our IPv6 transition project, evaluate SD-WAN vendors for the 2027 refresh cycle, and receive funding for CCNP Enterprise certification plus advanced network automation training.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN and VPN infrastructure across offices
Monitor network performance and proactively resolve bottlenecks and outages
Configure and manage Cisco and Juniper switches, routers and firewalls
Lead network segmentation and zero-trust security initiatives
Maintain network documentation, diagrams and change-management records
Provide out-of-hours support on a shared on-call rota

Requirements

3-5 years of experience administering enterprise networks
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, BGP and OSPF
Hands-on experience with Cisco or Juniper routing and switching
Familiarity with firewalls (Palo Alto or Fortinet) and VPN technologies
CCNA certification required; CCNP strongly preferred
Fluent English; German language skills are an advantage
