Employee Relations Specialist

Job Description

GlobalHealth Care is hiring an Employee Relations Specialist for our Boston headquarters, supporting a workforce of over two thousand healthcare professionals. You will manage complex employee-relations cases, advise managers on performance and conduct matters, and help foster a fair, respectful workplace culture across our hospitals and clinics. You will manage a caseload of around twenty active matters with full autonomy.\n\nThis sensitive and rewarding specialism sits at the heart of our people strategy. We offer in-depth training in employment law and mediation, SHRM certification support, and clear progression into senior ER, HR business-partner and people-leadership roles. Mediation certification is fully funded for ER team members. You will also deliver manager training on handling difficult conversations effectively. An annual employment-law update course keeps your knowledge fully current.

Responsibilities

Manage employee-relations cases including grievances and disciplinary matters\nAdvise managers on performance management and conduct issues\nConduct workplace investigations fairly, thoroughly and confidentially\nEnsure compliance with federal and state employment regulations\nAnalyse ER trends and recommend preventative initiatives\nSupport union and labour-relations matters where applicable

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in HR, Law or related field; SHRM-CP preferred\nMinimum 5 years of HR experience with strong ER focus\nThorough knowledge of US federal and state employment law\nExceptional judgement, discretion and interpersonal skills\nExperience conducting workplace investigations\nUS work authorisation required
