Cloud Engineer

Job Description

TechNova Solutions is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our platform team in Singapore and help scale the AWS infrastructure behind our flagship products. You will build and operate Kubernetes clusters, design resilient multi-AZ architectures, and drive our FinOps practices to keep cloud spend efficient as we grow across the Asia-Pacific region. Our Singapore platform team manages infrastructure across three AWS regions, supporting customers in twelve Asia-Pacific markets with strict latency and data-residency requirements.

This is a high-impact role with genuine ownership: you will partner directly with product engineering squads, set cloud architecture standards, and mentor junior engineers. Responsibilities

Design, build and operate AWS infrastructure using Terraform and EKS
Maintain Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines and observability stacks
Implement auto-scaling, disaster recovery and multi-region failover strategies
Drive cost optimisation and FinOps reporting across engineering teams
Harden cloud security posture in line with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 controls
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal platform documentation

Requirements

3-5 years of hands-on AWS experience in production environments
Strong Terraform skills and deep Kubernetes (EKS) knowledge
Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
Experience with monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification or equivalent experience
Understanding of cloud networking, IAM and security best practices
