Job Description

TechNova Solutions is looking for a data-driven Business Analyst to join our growing product team in New York. You will bridge the gap between our engineering teams and business stakeholders, translating complex requirements into clear technical specifications. This hybrid role offers the chance to work on enterprise software used by clients across three continents. You will also support sprint planning and backlog refinement, ensuring the development team always has clear, testable requirements to work from.

You will analyse workflows, map processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains. Working closely with product managers and developers, you will help shape features that solve genuine customer problems. Responsibilities

Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders across departments.
Analyse existing processes and recommend improvements backed by data.
Create user stories, process flows and functional specifications for developers.
Support user acceptance testing and validate delivered solutions.
Produce regular reports and dashboards tracking key performance indicators.
Liaise between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or a related field.
3-5 years of experience as a business analyst, ideally in software.
Strong knowledge of SQL and data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical mindset with sharp attention to detail.
