Job Description

FinEdge Capital is seeking a Java Developer for our Munich technology centre, where you will build mission-critical components of our digital banking platform used by over two million customers. Working in an Agile squad, you will develop Spring Boot microservices, integrate with payment networks, and ensure our systems meet strict financial-grade reliability and security standards. Our Munich centre is the engineering home of our mobile banking apps, rated among the highest in European app stores, with a strong culture of craftsmanship and code quality.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Java 17+ microservices using Spring Boot
Build REST APIs and integrate with core banking and payment systems
Write clean, tested code following TDD and code-review practices
Optimise application performance and troubleshoot production issues
Collaborate with QA, DevOps and product teams in Agile ceremonies
Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing

Requirements

3-5 years of professional Java development experience
Strong Spring Boot, Spring Data and Hibernate knowledge
Experience with messaging systems (Kafka or RabbitMQ)
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle)
English fluency; German is a plus but not required
