Teaching Assistant

Job Description

EduWorld International is hiring caring Teaching Assistants for our partner schools in Lahore. You will support lead teachers in classrooms, help pupils with classwork and assist with learning activities. This part-time entry-level on-site role is ideal for students or recent graduates exploring a teaching career. You will run small-group interventions in literacy and numeracy under teacher direction.

You will work mornings across primary classrooms, gaining hands-on experience with lesson support and child supervision. We provide training in classroom basics and safeguarding. Many of our teaching assistants progress to full teacher training programmes with our partner institutions. This experience strengthens applications for PGCE and teacher training programmes. You will gain invaluable classroom experience working alongside qualified teachers, building practical skills that strengthen future applications for teacher training programmes.

Responsibilities

Support lead teachers during lessons.
Help pupils with classwork and homework.
Prepare classroom materials and displays.
Supervise pupils during breaks and activities.
Assist with marking under teacher guidance.
Support children with additional learning needs.

Requirements

Intermediate or bachelor's level education.
Genuine interest in working with children.
Good communication skills in English and Urdu.
Patient, friendly and responsible nature.
Willingness to learn classroom skills.
Available for morning shifts.
