Job Description

Globe Telecom is hiring a full-time Project Manager for ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) Philippines, based in Quezon City, NCR. The Construction Project Manager is crucial for managing the full lifecycle of data centre design and construction projects, ensuring projects are delivered effectively, meeting quality and budgetary targets within predefined timelines.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Enforce a strict safety culture on site based on company safety standards; participate in management EHS walkthroughs and site inspections
- Lead or coordinate prompt Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and detailed sequence-of-events reporting after incidents
- Direct day-to-day construction activities, maintaining stringent control over schedules, budgets and resource deployment
- Manage installation and commissioning of critical infrastructure including diesel generators, UPS, chillers, switchgears and building monitoring systems
- Oversee end-to-end procurement: consultant and general contractor hiring, long-lead equipment, supplemental POs, vendor pre-qualification, bid tendering and contract negotiation
- Lead cross-functional teams (design consultants, testing and commissioning, cost control, finance, legal, operations, procurement)
- Lead quality control and assurance programmes ensuring compliance with local/international building codes and environmental regulations; manage defect rectification and punchlists
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical, schedule and operational risks; enforce Method of Procedure (MOP) compliance
- Manage testing and commissioning through all 6 levels, culminating in Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and project handover/close-out
- Provide regular reports and escalate concerns affecting delivery timeline, quality or costs
