Industrial Engineer

Job Description

BuildRight Contracting's manufacturing clients in Kuala Lumpur need an Industrial Engineer to optimise production lines and factory layouts. You will analyse workflows, reduce waste and improve throughput using lean manufacturing principles. This on-site role offers hands-on impact in Malaysia's growing industrial sector. You will implement visual management systems and standard work across production lines.

You will conduct time studies, design workstations and lead continuous improvement projects with shop-floor teams. We are looking for an engineer who combines analytical rigour with practical problem-solving. Experience with Six Sigma or lean certification will set your application apart. Your improvements will directly boost productivity and reduce operational costs. You will lead improvement projects with real authority, working directly with production managers and shop-floor teams to deliver measurable gains in efficiency, quality and cost.

Responsibilities

Analyse production processes and identify inefficiencies.
Design optimised factory layouts and workflows.
Lead lean and continuous improvement projects.
Conduct time and motion studies.
Develop standard operating procedures.
Train operators on improved methods.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering.
2-4 years of manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
Strong data analysis skills.
Good communication with shop-floor teams.
Eligibility to work in Malaysia.
