Job Description

MediServe Staffing is placing caring Healthcare Assistants with leading hospitals and care homes across Birmingham. You will support nurses with personal care, help patients with daily activities and provide the companionship that makes a real difference. This entry-level on-site role is perfect for starting a healthcare career. You will complete the Care Certificate within your first twelve weeks with full paid training.

No previous experience is required as full training is provided, including the Care Certificate. We offer flexible shift patterns, weekly pay options and a dedicated consultant who supports you throughout your placement. Many of our healthcare assistants progress into nursing apprenticeships. This is a wonderful first step into healthcare, with many assistants progressing to nursing degrees. You will find deeply rewarding work with flexible shifts and a clear path into nursing.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with washing, dressing and eating.
Support nurses with clinical observations.
Help patients mobilise safely around wards.
Keep patient areas clean, tidy and safe.
Offer companionship and emotional support.
Report concerns to senior nursing staff.

Requirements

Right to work in the UK.
Caring, patient and reliable personality.
Good spoken English communication skills.
Willingness to complete Care Certificate training.
Ability to work shifts including nights and weekends.
Enhanced DBS check (we can arrange this).
