Pakistani students admitted to a Polish university apply for a D-type national (study) visa. Applications are submitted in person at the Embassy of Poland in Islamabad after registering on the e-konsulat system — there is no VFS or agent route. All details below are from the official “Poland in Pakistan” pages on gov.pl.
Visa Requirements
- Visa application form completed via the e-konsulat system, printed and signed (no walk-in applications).
- One recent photograph (not older than six months), passport size, white background only.
- Ordinary passport: issued within the last 10 years, valid at least three months beyond the visa’s expiry, with at least two blank pages; bring all previous passports plus A4 copies of used pages.
- Photocopy of your CNIC (national ID card).
- Refusal letter, if any embassy or high commission has ever refused you a visa.
- NADRA Family Registration Certificate — original and photocopy (in English or with a certified translation).
- Acceptance letter from the Polish university / formal confirmation of enrolment.
- For paid studies: proof of payment covering the first year of studies (or the full term if under one year), or a statement of funds covering study costs.
- Proof of sufficient financial means: 776 PLN/month living costs + accommodation costs + 2,500 PLN return travel — via traveller’s cheques, a credit-card limit certificate, a bank certificate (Polish, EU, EFTA or Swiss bank, with seal and signature), or a scholarship grant document. Sponsors provide a notarised sponsorship letter plus an employment certificate with monthly salary.
- Proof of accommodation in Poland, with full contact details.
- Health insurance valid for the whole period of stay (EU-wide cover of at least €30,000, per the embassy’s general requirements).
- Return flight booking (both ways).
- Educational certificates as required by the university; the consulate may request additional documents.
Application Process
- 1. Obtain your acceptance letter and pay first-year tuition where applicable.
- 2. Register on the e-konsulat system — the embassy states this is the only official registration system — choosing the correct study category: “National visa – first-, second-, single-cycle degree (BA, BSc, MSc, MA)”, “National visa – PhD/student exchange program”, or “National visa – course/training”.
- 3. New appointment slots open every Monday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM (per the embassy’s 5 June 2025 notice); book the correct category.
- 4. Submit your application in person at the Embassy of Poland, Street 24, G-5/4, Diplomatic Enclave II, Islamabad.
- 5. Pay the visa fee in cash at submission; collect your passport on business days between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
- 6. Warning: the Embassy of Poland states it does not cooperate with any travel agencies or intermediaries — use only e-konsulat and never pay an agent.
