Responsibilities

- Convert technical solutions for small to medium-sized initiatives into low-level design and working code.
- Independently write secure and optimized code implementing Emirates Group approved coding standards.
- Participate in rotational on-call support and resolve production issues within SLAs.
- Ensure built-in quality and 100% unit testing as part of the CI/CD pipeline.
- Adopt refactoring practices and implement logging and monitoring hooks in code.

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of experience in backend application development, primarily in Java (8+) with microservices capability.
- Back end technologies: Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful API, SOAP, microservices, design patterns, Redis/Couchbase.
- Web technologies: React.js / Next.js / Node.js.
- Databases: Oracle, MariaDB, SQL Server, Postgres; NoSQL: Couchbase, MongoDB, ElasticSearch.
- Cloud: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud; DevOps: GitLab, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Jenkins.
- Experience providing production support using the ITIL framework.
