Mechanical Engineer – Black & White Engineering, Madrid

Job Description

Black & White Engineering, a multi-award-winning global engineering consultancy with over 1,300 professionals, is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for its Madrid office. You will deliver mechanical building services design across a portfolio of data centre and critical infrastructure projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Run small projects independently, owning design, coordination and delivery from start to finish
- Research and specify mechanical systems; ensure calculations and drawings meet industry and legal standards
- Validate the design input of intermediate and graduate engineers
- Represent Black & White Engineering at technical meetings with clients, professional teams and contractors
- Apply international project standards including UK, ASHRAE and CIBSE

REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Mechanical Building Services Engineering or equivalent, with competence in specification design and drawing across multiple building types
- Minimum three years of hands-on HVAC design experience, including data centres, high-rise, hotels, commercial or mixed-use developments
- Proficiency in mechanical design software including HAP and Pipe Flo, plus equipment selection tools
- Working knowledge of international standards including RITE, ASHRAE, CTE and CIBSE, and health and safety legislation
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload and deliver to deadlines
- Experience on international projects is an advantage
