Job Description

Synopsys is hiring an Applications Engineering, Staff Engineer in Seoul, South Korea (Job ID 18497, posted 30 August 2026). You will join the Material Information Management team within Ansys, now part of Synopsys, guiding customers through deployment, integration and adoption of materials data platforms across their engineering environments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Serve as the senior technical expert on Material Information Management implementations, guiding customers through deployment, integration and adoption
- Work directly with engineering, IT and product development teams to integrate materials data platforms with PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill), CAE tools and enterprise databases
- Translate complex data architecture and workflow challenges into clear, actionable recommendations for engineers and C-level stakeholders
- Lead technical workshops, live demonstrations and strategy sessions that build customer confidence and drive adoption
- Partner with product management and development teams to influence the MIM product roadmap based on field feedback
- Mentor applications engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and implementation playbooks
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across materials data systems, API integrations and cross-platform workflows in live customer environments

REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in engineering software, technical consulting, or engineering roles working directly with product development processes and data systems
- Deep understanding of how data flows across the engineering lifecycle, from research and testing through simulation, qualification and production
- Direct experience with Material Information Management platforms or enterprise materials data management systems (deployment, integration or administration)
- Working knowledge of engineering data management, PLM integration workflows, or digital engineering transformation projects
- Familiarity with database systems, data modelling concepts and API-based integrations
- Experience with CAE tools, PLM platforms (Teamcenter, Windchill, 3DEXPERIENCE) or materials data management software is a strong plus
- Exposure to agile or iterative project delivery methodologies is a plus
